The outreach workgroup identifies any gaps in services needed for the support of recovery out in the community setting and advocates for those needs to be provided within the community.  Once a client has achieved recovery, the discharge from a facility should include a supportive environment that provides access to medical care, food, social activities, dental care, vision care, employment, financial education, family restoration and career education.  If the facility releases the client straight back to the streets after recovery is achieved, it turns into a revolving door which doesn't help anyone.  Resource acquisition and outreach services are crucial to maintaining a client’s recovery in the community setting.
